Educator with a specialization in Ecology, Miriam has over 30 years of experience in carrying out environmental conservation and restoration projects and in building dialogues with the most diverse sectors of society.
She is one of the founders and current vice president of Apremavi (Association for the Preservation of Environment and Life), a leading environmental organization in Brazil with 32 years of history in the protection and recovery of the Atlantic Rainforest. Former Executive Secretary of the Brazilian Forestry Dialogue for over ten years, she helped build dialogues and relations between pulp and paper companies and environmental organizations.

Wigold Schäffer
Environmentalist with a Business Administration
degree at UNIDAVI, Wigold dedicates his life to
protect and restore the Atlantic Rainforest.
Cofounder and current counselor of Apremavi (Association for the Preservation of Environment and Life), a Brazilian nonprofit that has planted more than 8.5 million trees from the Atlantic Rainforest. Former Coordinator of the Atlantic Rainforest Center at the Brazilian Ministry of Environment for over 10 years, he helped design and implement more than 15 Federal Conservation Units/National Parks in Brazil.
